AORN study, FedEx tour to highlight HealthPack 2009

HealthPack 2009 is set for March 3 through 5 in Memphis, with a tour of FedEx’s main distribution hub in that city scheduled for the first day.

Beth Staub, vp of quality and regulatory affairs with Stryker Corp., will deliver the keynote address March 4. A nursing professionals group roundtable will analyze what works and what doesn’t in medical device packaging. A new and expanded report about AORN (Assn. of periOperative Registered Nurses) will be presented by Jennifer Neid of Tolas Healthcare Packaging and Clemson University Masters Candidate Jennifer Blocher. Other highlights of the event include a “Case Study in Test Method Validation—ASTM F1886, Visual Examination,” by Todd Dehmer, St. Jude Medical, Atrial Fibrillation Div., and an “IoPP Medical Device Packaging AmeriStar Award-winner Case Study” by Russell Darley of Smith & Nephew Orthopedics.
